A design competition for the realization of the Parma Lagoni refuge was established in 2008. The notice was intended to create a non impressive space compared to the forest that would have surrounded it, with relaxing areas. The L’AB STUDIO in cooperation with colleague arch. Carolina Neves Issa, developed the project that reminded the shape of coniferous plants, thinking of a space suitable for reception, with areas looking over the landscape in a way that interior and exterior merged into each other at every step.
The will to create a no large plan and little exposed to weather and temperature changes has been pursued throughout the all work, reason why there are not pilotis areas or dispersant volumes.
