Research and Development Project: Innovation and Sustainability in the Cinema Project
Since 2009, we have passionately dedicated ourselves to research and development (R&D) projects, responding to our clients’ requests to verify the feasibility of works or technical and thermal improvements. But why do we commit so much to these projects? The answer is simple: we want to integrate and exploit the systems to achieve climatic benefits, applying advanced bioclimatic principles and using both innovative and ancient, but modernized, systems.
This time, the theme is the project of a multiplex cinema. The peculiarity of this project, in addition to energy efficiency, has developed mainly on the theme of disinfection of places. The project was conceived many years before Covid, but considering the high number of people passing through a cinema, the issue of disinfection was central. Therefore, we planned an ozone system to carry out deep air cleaning. Unfortunately, this system is not considered very sustainable, but in this specific case, it was preferred for the protection of the final customers.
Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of this project. Regarding energy efficiency, we have adopted cutting-edge solutions such as the use of solar panels for electricity production and heat recovery systems to reduce overall energy consumption. Additionally, we have implemented a low-energy LED lighting system, which not only reduces operating costs but also improves the visual experience for viewers.
Regarding disinfection, in addition to the ozone system, we are exploring the use of UV-C technologies for surface and air sanitation. These technologies were chosen for their effectiveness in neutralizing viruses and bacteria, ensuring a safe environment for all visitors. Although ozone is not the most sustainable solution, its effectiveness in disinfection made this choice necessary to ensure maximum safety.
Another important aspect of the project is the use of sustainable materials in the construction and furnishing of the cinema. We have selected recycled and low-impact materials to reduce the project’s ecological footprint. Furthermore, we are collaborating with local suppliers to reduce emissions related to the transport of materials.
Finally, we are working closely with bioclimatic experts to integrate solutions that improve thermal comfort inside the cinema while reducing energy consumption. This includes the use of natural ventilation systems and the optimization of thermal insulation.
In conclusion, our commitment to research and development projects is driven by the desire to innovate and continuously improve. With this project, we aim to set new standards in the multiplex cinema industry, demonstrating that it is possible to combine quality, innovation, and sustainability.
